This place is definitely a hole-in-the-wall, but exceeded all expectations in terms of food! Don't go if you want a sit-down restaurant; this taqueria provides very delicious street-style Mexican. The location itself looks a bit rundown, but it's definitely worth a try. Service is extremely friendly and the food is prepared quickly. I also adore that, while this spot is authentic, they also cater to vegetarians and vegans. There's a vegetarian section on the menu, and you can request the beans that are prepared lard-free. If you need to make substitutions or special requests, it should be no problem and my burrito was prepared without error.
On to the meal- I loved how much cilantro was in the burrito, as well as the fresh crunchy flavors of the vegetables. The tortilla was grilled to perfection, and both rice and beans were delicious. My only complaint would be that, while the flavors were tasty, the burrito was very mild and probably needed a significant amount of more salsa. On the other hand, nothing was overly wet or mushy, which was a definite plus. Overall, an excellent Mexican spot for a quick and scrumptious bite! -

So I went to this place because I saw a post on YouTube. Not at all what I expected. Food was ok at best. I ordered pastor tacos, they looked good but tasted more like umm

This is one of my favorite little taco shops in Costa Mesa. The small carnitas soft tacos are only $1.54 each and two of them fill you up plenty! Love this place I have been going here the past 5 plus years. Check it out! On the corner all the way down to the end of 19th street. Cross street is Monrovia.

Nothing to rave about. I ordered the al pastor burrito and I was not impressed at all. The burrito lacked flavor. The meat was dry, not much flavor from the rice and beans either but at least the portions are a respectable size. Also, I ordered a jamaica and that was actually good. But I came here for the food and not the drinks.
Anyhow, it is located in a sketchy spot next to a liquor store. Chances are that I won't be coming back. For better tasting Mexican food, I'll stick to Santa Ana and LA area. -

I ordered the carnitas taco and the chorizo taco both in the street size at $1.54 each. The carnitas taco had dry, tasteless meat and the tortillas were not fresh. The chorizo taco had dry, flavorless meat.
